Primacy’s clubs are created and driven by the interests of the student body. We always have more room and opportunity for students to create new clubs and join existing clubs.
Here are some examples of our most popular clubs:
National Honor Society
“The National Honor Society (NHS)” is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929.”
In 2013 Primacy joined The National Honor Society by inducting 11 members. These members hold monthly meetings and must fulfill obligations the NHS requires including personal and group community service projects, which help build organizational skills, team building and resource building, among others.
Boys and Girls Basketball Club
The purpose of the Primacy Basketball Club is to foster and develop in each player the ability to work within a team, a love for the game of basketball, a high level of school spirit and physical fitness, and a healthy understanding of competition founded on the principles of good sportsmanship and a positive, Christian attitude. Each member will learn and develop fundamental basketball skills, with the opportunity for most to learn advanced strategies, frameworks, and plays.
Primacy’s Basketball Clubs function just like other basketball teams. Tryouts begin in during the fall semester and then the teams begin practicing once or twice per week through March. The boys’ team is sectioned into two teams: Varsity and Junior-Varsity, while the girls’ team is just Varsity. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams and play other local Taiwanese high schools and international schools throughout our basketball seasons.
We are proud of our champion Primacy Lady Sharks Basketball team for winning the Annual Taiwan Adventist Educational Basketball Invitational Tournament 4 years running, and for our Boys Varsity Team taking 1st place in 2016!
